Tips for using cantilever pumps mainly include the following aspects:
Check before starting: Before starting the SK cantilever water ring vacuum pump, check whether the rotation direction of the motor matches the rotation direction of the pump. After starting the vacuum pump, adjust the amount of water inlet and check whether the packing is properly compressed (normal compression of the packing can make the water in the pump leak out in drops). In addition, it is necessary to ensure that the bearings are operating and lubricated normally.
Monitoring during operation: After starting, observe whether the pump vibrates and listen carefully for noise in the pump. At the same time, measure the temperature of the stuffing box and the bearing. The normal bearing temperature shall not be 35°C higher than the ambient temperature, and the operating temperature shall not be higher than 70°C. If the temperature is too high, stop the machine immediately to check the cause.
Parking sequence: When stopping, close the gate valve on the air intake pipe first, and then close the gate valve on the water supply pipe. It is not advisable to stop the pump immediately after the water is cut off. The pump should continue to run for 1-2 minutes to discharge some of the working fluid. Finally, turn off the motor. If the parking time exceeds one day, it is also necessary to open the screw plug at the bottom of the pump cover and drain the water in the pump body.
Use under special conditions: When using a cantilever water ring vacuum pump under specific conditions, additional equipment needs to be installed. For example, a filter needs to be installed when the pumped gas contains dust; a condenser needs to be installed when it contains a large amount of steam; neutralization treatment is required when extracting corrosive gases; a condensing device needs to be passed when the pumped gas temperature exceeds 35°C; a steam-water separator needs to be installed when it contains a large amount of liquid; a starting switch needs to be used when the starting current is large.
Maintenance: Regularly check the lubrication system and bearings to ensure that the pump body is not overheated. In addition, since the cantilever pump has poor sealing and low pumping efficiency, it is necessary to pay attention to reasonable matching when selecting and using it.
