Mixed-Flow Pumps
Mixed flow pump is mainly used to transport clean water or other liquids with physical and chemical properties similar to clean water. The temperature of the transported liquid is not higher than 50 degrees Celsius. It has significant advantages such as simple structure, stable performance, sustainable operation, easy loading and unloading, simple maintenance, high efficiency and energy saving, and large flow rate. Suitable for various occasions such as agricultural irrigation and drainage, industrial and urban water supply and drainage.

Characteristics of Mixed Flow Pumps
Efficiency
The efficiency of mixed flow pumps is slightly lower than that of volute pumps, which are representative of the centrifugal type, but higher than that of axial flow pumps.
Operating Range
Mixed flow pumps have a narrower operating range than centrifugal pumps, but are wider than axial flow pumps. This allows for a flexible response.
Head Characteristics
The centrifugal type has the smallest head variation in relation to flow rate variation, while the axial flow type has the largest head variation. Mixed flow pumps have a head characteristic that falls between the two. Even if the head is reduced to 120%, the flow rate can be maintained at about 80%.
Shaft Power
While the shut-off shaft power of axial-flow pumps is more than twice the rated power, the shaft power of mixed flow pumps is almost constant over the entire water flow rate. Shut-off operation is possible.
Noise
Low noise throughout the entire operating range.
Cavitation
Compared to axial flow pumps of the same head, the cavitation performance is superior. The required suction pressure of mixed flow pumps is about 1/2 that of axial flow pumps.

Design Features
Mixed-flow pumps develop their head partly through centrifugal force and partly through the lift generated by the vane acting on the liquid. These pumps are suitable for handling large quantities of water at relatively low head. Due to their large cross-sectional flow areas, they can pump liquids containing impurities, including soft solids and sludge, within acceptable limits.
Casing
The casing is of volute type, swept back in the direction of the impeller flow centerline. Supporting feet are cast integrally with the casing.

Shaft
A generously sized shaft is mounted on deep-groove, heavy-duty bearings set wide apart. The design follows an exclusive principle to ensure long, trouble-free pump life.

Flanges
Standard drilling conforms to BS-10 Table D. ISS and DIN standards are also available upon request.

Impeller
Both open and closed-type impellers are available. The impeller vanes are designed for high efficiency, incorporating the latest hydraulic design principles.

Rotation
The pump rotates counterclockwise when viewed from the suction side.
