The daily maintenance of cantilever pumps mainly includes the following aspects:

Check the lubricating oil: Make sure the lubricating oil level is correct and the oil is clean. According to the instruction manual, change the lubricating oil regularly. Generally, the oil-lubricated water pump should be replaced once a month, and the grease-lubricated one should be replaced every six months.

Check the sealing: Make sure the pump is in good sealing condition and there is no water leakage. If the packing seal is found to have water leakage, the asbestos rope packing should be added or replaced in time.

Check the fasteners: Check all fasteners regularly to see if they are firm, including the base screws, etc., and perform rust prevention.

Check the bearings: Check the temperature and vibration of the bearings regularly to ensure that the bearings are well lubricated and there is no abnormal sound.

Check the motor: Visually check that the inside of the motor should be kept clean, the nameplate should be intact, and the grounding wire should be properly connected. Check the insulation resistance of the motor winding regularly to ensure that it is not less than 0.5 megohms.

‌Check valves and pipes‌: Make sure that the valves and pipes connected to the water pump are working properly, there is no leakage, and the check valve works flexibly‌.

‌Clean the water pump‌: Regularly remove dust and dirt from the outside of the water pump. For submersible sewage pumps, the gap between the impeller and the seal ring should be cleaned regularly to prevent water alkali accumulation from affecting performance‌.

‌Check cables regularly‌: For submersible sewage pumps, check the cables at least once a year. If the cables are damaged, they should be replaced in time‌.

‌Storage and maintenance‌: If the water pump is not used for a long time, it should be cleaned and properly stored. For gasoline engine water pumps, the remaining fuel in the tank should be released and placed in a special container for proper storage when not in use for a long time‌.

‌Professional maintenance‌: For high-power pump equipment, such as multi-stage centrifugal pumps, reciprocating water injection pumps, etc., professional maintenance should be carried out according to the manufacturer's recommendations, including warm pumps, periodic repairs and maintenance, etc.‌
